Options
• There are “American-style”
mortgage loan programs currently available for most locations
in Mexico, the Caribbean, and internationally.
• By leveraging U.S. assets,
there are programs that
provide affordable permanent mortgage loans when local bank
financing would otherwise be unaffordable or unavailable. This
may not even be necessary depending on a individuals
creditworthiness.
• One must be a U.S. citizen
with U.S. assets, and net worth of at least the value of the
vacation/retirement/investment property. This may not even be
necessary depending on a individuals creditworthiness.
• Loan amounts: $150,000 to $2,500,000 USD
(Exceptions for higher loan amounts are available)
• 20- to 30-year amortization
• Interest rates: 7.5% to 9% with
adjustable and fixed products, depending upon creditworthiness
• 80% LTV; in some cases CLTV 95% may be
possible
• Full-document loans; Stated
loans possible
